The house was built in the 1930s by Helga\u2019s mother and functioned as a family home. However, today it looks nothing like a home occupied by a family, but rather like the abode of a flamboyant and eccentric character straight out of a magical world. A visit to the Folly is a true treat for the senses, and you are unlikely to see anything like it anywhere else in Kandy.<\/p>\n
